Bacon Tomato Soup

This smoky Bacon Tomato Soup is comfort in a bowl! It comes together quickly and easily, all in one pot. The bacon provides a smoky flavor to the classic soup.

INGREDIENTS

thick-cut bacon yellow onion, garlic tomato paste, flour sugar can whole tomatoes broth, bay leaves

In a pot over medium heat, add the bacon pieces. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes.

Add the onions and continue to cook until softened.

Add the tomato paste and flour and cook until the flour has been incorporated.

Add the sugar and canned tomatoes. Then add the broth and one or two bay leaves.

Simmer the soup for 30 minutes. Remove the bay leaves and blend until smooth.
