Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 shallots sliced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cloves garlic roughly chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 680 milliliters passata sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sriracha optional
  • cups pasta shells
  • 2 cups beef stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup parmesan

Instructions

  • On sauté mode, add in your olive oil, shallots, and salt. Give it a stir for a minute to soften them before adding in garlic. Stir for another minute before adding in the ground beef.
  • Brown the ground beef in the Instant Pot for 2-4 minutes, breaking up large pieces.
  • Add in a splash of your beef stock to deglaze your pot (scrape and loosen any browned bits on the bottom of the Instant Pot with the stock).
  • Layer in the passata sauce, sriracha sauce, pasta, and finally the rest of your beef stock. Do not stir. Gently pat the pasta into the liquid if needed.
  • Place on your lid, seal, and select manual and set for 5 minutes.
  • When done, quick release the pressure, stir in the heavy cream and parmesan. Serve when done.
