This easy ground pork pasta is the perfect weeknight meal! Made in one pot in 40 minutes or less, all you need are a handful of ingredients, and you'll have dinner on the table in no time.

Why You'll Love This Recipe

  • It's a super simple one-pot pasta that doesn't sacrifice on flavor! Don't let the ingredients fool you - you'll end up with your family licking their plates clean every time.
  • It takes around 30 minutes to cook. The prep time can practically be cut to zero if you have a vegetable chopper to cut the onions.
  • One pot = less dishes. With the pasta cooking in the same pot as the pork, you don't have to dirty another pot to cook the pasta in.

Ingredients You'll Need

Ingredients needed to make ground pork pasta.
  • oil — I use olive oil, but feel free to use what you prefer to cook the onions in.
  • onions — I diced up a small yellow onion. Feel free to use a large one if you're a fan of onions!
  • garlic — the more garlic, the happier I am! Feel free to add more.
  • ground pork — if you don't have ground pork, you can use any ground meat. Ground beef, chicken, or turkey are great swaps. You can also use a combination of meats!
  • seasoning — salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano.
  • tomato paste & canned finely chopped tomatoes — for that delicious, deep tomato flavor.
  • vegetable broth — I used vegetable broth, but you can also use chicken or pork broth if you have that on hand!
  • heavy cream — if you want to go lighter, you can swap heavy cream for half and half.
  • parmesan — to help thicken the sauce but also to add a rich, tangy, and nutty flavor to the one pot pasta.
  • pasta — I'm using farfalle pasta but you can use any similar sized pasta in place. Shells, orecchiette, mini penne, or mezzi rigatoni are a great alternative.
  • frozen peas — I love adding frozen peas to my pastas as it's a quick and easy way to add some green to the dish. You can also try frozen corn!

Recipes Variations

  • Swap the ground pork for ground beef, chicken, or turkey. Ground Italian sausage is great as well!
  • Add some red pepper flakes for a little bit of heat.
  • Swap the frozen peas for frozen corn.
  • Add some baby spinach at the end when you add the peas for additional greens.
  • Swap the heavy cream for full-fat coconut milk.

Tips and Notes

  • Make sure not to bring the pot to an aggressive boil! A gentle simmer is all you need before adding the pasta in. If you bring the liquid to too high heat, the cream might curdle or split.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat on the stovetop with a splash of broth or in the microwave!
  • The sauce will continue to thicken as the pasta cools.
