These delicious air fryer frozen chicken patties are perfect for an easy weeknight dinner. Frozen chicken patties are air fried until perfectly crispy in 15 minutes or less. Served on a bun with your favorite toppings, your whole family will be thrilled.
Frozen chicken patties are one of my go-to meals because who doesn't love a good chicken sandwich? Pre-made chicken patties do come with instructions, but rarely do they come with air fryer instructions. Cooking chicken patties in the air fryer is much faster than cooking them in a regular oven and much healthier than deep frying, so here's how I make them in the air fryer!

Why You'll Love This Recipe
- In my opinion, air frying the chicken patties leads to much crispier results than baking them in the oven!
- I love how air frying them saves me from having to heat up the entire kitchen with the oven. It's perfect, especially in the summer.
- There's practically no prep work needed to make this other than throwing the frozen patties in the air fryer and putting some toppings together.
Ingredients You'll Need
- frozen chicken patties — the most popular option at the store is the fully cooked and breaded chicken patties. That's what I'll be working with.
- toppings — I serve the burgers up with some lettuce, tomatoes, and red onions with burger buns, but you can go with your family's favorites.
How To Air Fry Frozen Chicken Patties
- Place the frozen chicken patties in the air fryer.
- Air fry them at 400°F for 10 to 15 minutes or until they're as crispy as you desire.
- When the chicken patties are done, you can serve them with your buns and favorite toppings. You can also air fry the buns for just under a minute at 350°F to get them nice and toasty.
Recipes Variations
- Add a slice of cheese! You can air fry them for an extra minute to melt the cheese.
Tips and Notes
- Make sure you place the chicken patties in a single layer so they cook evenly. If your air fryer cannot fit four frozen patties, air fry them in batches.
- If you have leftover patties, you can reheat them in the air fryer for around 5 minutes at 400°F.
- Due to the way the air fryer basket is made, you don't have to flip the chicken patties if you don't want to! The air should circulate underneath the gaps in the basket. However, if your air fryer has a different basket setup, you might have to flip them at the halfway mark.
- I like to spread mayo or ketchup on my buns but feel free to use what you like.
