Why You'll Love This Recipe

  • I love how crunchy these air fryer tortellini are. Paired with the delightful cheesy center? That's a keeper. The pasta crisps up wonderfully in the air fryer. It's like deep fried but with much less oil.
  • You can easily change up this air fryer recipe. I love making this with three cheese tortellini, but you can also find other flavors such as spinach and ricotta, roasted garlic and cheese, etc.
  • It is beyond easy to make. Simply toss together the tortellini with seasoning and air fry.
  • This is both a kid-favorite and an adult favorite! They're a great afterschool snack and can also double as a game-day snack. Serve it with some with marinara or pizza sauce for an irresistible bite.

Ingredients You'll Need

Ingredients needed to make air fryer tortellini.
  • tortellini — I use cheese-filled refrigerated tortellini. I have not tried making this with dried tortellini. Feel free to switch it up with different fillings!
  • oil — I use olive oil to help the seasoning and parmesan stick to the tortellini. You can use any neutral oil of your choice such as avocado oil.
  • seasoning — feel free to play around with the seasoning! I use salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
  • parmesan — parmesan adds a wonderful savory and nutty flavor to the tortellini. It also coats the tortellini and comes out so deliciously crunchy.

  • When done, serve with more parmesan shaved on top, marinara, and basil, if desired.

Tips and Notes

  • Use them as you would with croutons on salads!
  • If you prefer the pasta to be a little softer, you can parboil the tortellini first for a few minutes. Just be sure to fully pat dry the tortellini with paper towels before coating and seasoning.
  • I love serving these air fryer tortellini bites with marinara sauce but they're also great with pesto sauce, ranch, and aioli.

How do I store leftovers?

It's best to enjoy this air fryer tortellini recipe straight out of the air fryer. However, you can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

How do I reheat leftovers?

I reheat these in the air fryer! I reheat them for 3 to 5 minutes until it is warm and crispy again at 350F. I like to add more parmesan on top when I do this, because why not??

You should be able to use frozen with an extra minute or so!
